West Point Thoroughbreds is a force to be reckoned with at the highest levels of racing. Our results in 2007 earned us nationwide recognition and catapulted us to fourth-place in the Eclipse Award voting for Outstanding Owner. Our nearly $4.5 million in purse earnings ranked us fourth in the country. With five Grade 1 wins by four different horses and ten graded stakes wins in total for the season, West Point Thoroughbreds statistically had the best year any partnership group has ever enjoyed.
With an impressive six new graded stakes winners and four Grade 1 winners, the black and gold of West Point Thoroughbreds repeatedly turned up in the winner's circle in the 2007's biggest races. The stable's first Grade 1 win came from Flashy Bull in the Stephen Foster Handicap at Churchill Downs in June of 2007. That result would be the first of five Grade 1 wins in a three month span. Dream Rush captured two of the distaff sprint division's biggest jewels with victories in the Prioress Stakes and the Darley Test Stakes. Her campaign earned her finalist honors for the Female Sprinter Eclipse Award. Irish Smoke demolished her competition in the Spinaway, and Lear's Princess became a Grade 1 winner when she toppled Rags To Riches in the Gazelle Stakes.

While our recent success has been remarkable, our history proves that we are in this business for the long haul. Our first graded stakes win dates back to Ethan Man in 2002 (Swale Stakes). Two years later, Seattle Fitz increased the stable's graded stakes win total to four when he won the Brooklyn Stakes, William Donald Schaefer Handicap and Aqueduct Handicap.
We have always set the bar high, but we look to exceed our goals once again in 2008. That is why we pride ourselves on being the Gold Standard in Racing Partnerships. We aim to compete at the highest level at America's premier racetracks against the best competition in the country. Our objective is to be a key player at every major race meet in America.
