Lear's Princess
Tantalizingly close to capturing numerous Grade 1 races in the summer of her three-year-old season, Lear's Princess finally ascended to the royal throne when she defeated Rags to Riches, the 2007 Belmont Stakes winner, in the Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes at Belmont Park. In the spring of 2008, she had to interrupt her training in order to recover from an injury. We have every reason to look forward to a strong autumn from this extremely gifted and versatile runner.
